Antennas and Radio Propagation - The manuals on electronic fundamentals form a progressive series of educational texts which present the theroy and application of electronics for the military services

Tactical Radio Operations FM 6-02.53 - This chapter addresses the Army’s move to modularity and applications for tactical radio deployment from conventional corps to joint operations. It also includes a section on the Army Special Operations Forces (SOF) and the Army force generation process.

Tactical Single-Channel Radio Communications Techniques FM 24-18 - This manual provides information and guidance to all personnel who are involved with and use single-channel radio in tactical situations. To ensure your understanding of all the material presented, this manual includes a brief discussion of radio fundamentals, antennas, and radio-wave propagation. It also covers procedures and techniques that have been used effectively during tactical operations to include: site selection and reliability factors; operation in the several transmission modes and under unusual conditions; field expedients; electronic warfare techniques and reporting; and other aspects of the practical applications of single-channel radio. There are other items pertinent to single-channel radio operations listed in the appendixes.

Visual Signals FM 21-60 - Visual signals are any means of communication that require sight and can be used to transmit prearranged messages rapidly over short distances. This includes the devices and means used for the recognition and identification of friendly forces.

Wave Propagation, Transmission Lines, and Antennas TC 9-64 - This manual is a reference text for trainees and other personnel in the communications electronics field. It provides information about wave propagation, transmission lines, and antennas. This manual also identifies important safety practices to follow when working with electromagnetic radiation.
